First time at this clinic. Dr. Khosravi was very personable. She appeared to be really concerned about my mom. She was honest and to the point, but compassionate when giving the results of her findings. The staff was very nice as well.
Ocrevus Zunovo
What is Ocrevus Zunovo®?
Ocrevus Zunovo® has the same MS medicine in it as Ocrevus. The difference is how you get it. Ocrevus goes into a vein through an IV. Ocrevus Zunovo is a shot given under the skin of your belly.
It treats the same two kinds of MS: relapsing MS and primary progressive MS.
The shot takes about 10 minutes. A nurse gives it to you here at our clinic — it is not something you do at home.
Here is what treatment looks like:
- Your dose: One shot in the belly, given over about 10 minutes
- How often: Every 6 months
- Total appointment time: About 2 hours for your first visit, and about 1 hour after that
You will take medicine at least 30 minutes before your shot to lower the chance of a reaction. A nurse will watch you for at least an hour after your first shot, and about 15 minutes after later ones. Reactions can also show up as late as a day afterward, so your care team will go over what to watch for at home.
How does Ocrevus Zunovo® work?
Ocrevus Zunovo works exactly the same way as Ocrevus. The medicine inside is the same. Only the delivery is different.
Your nerves are wrapped in a protective coating called myelin. In MS, your immune system attacks that coating by mistake, which slows down or blocks the signals moving between your brain and your body.
B cells are immune cells that help drive that attack. They carry a marker called CD20.
Here is what it does:
- Ocrevus Zunovo finds B cells. It attaches to the CD20 marker on their surface.
- It clears those cells out. Your immune system removes them from your blood.
- Swelling goes down. With fewer B cells, there is less swelling in your brain and spinal cord.
- A second ingredient helps it absorb. Hyaluronidase briefly loosens the tissue under your skin so the full dose can soak in.
In a study called OCARINA II, the amount of medicine that reached the blood was about the same as with the IV version. Safety and how well it worked were also about the same.
If you are already doing well on IV Ocrevus, switching is a change in how you get your treatment, not a change in the treatment itself. Your appointments get a lot shorter. Everything else stays the same.
Common side effects:
- Reactions at the spot where you got the shot, like redness, swelling, or soreness
- Reactions in the rest of your body, like headache, fever, or chills
- Colds and other infections in your nose, throat, or sinuses
- Chest infections
- Rash or itchy skin
Serious side effects — get medical help right away:
- Severe reactions to the shot. These can affect the injection site or your whole body, and they can show up as late as 24 hours afterward.
- Serious infections. This medicine lowers part of your immune system, so infections can be harder to fight off.
- Hepatitis B coming back. If you have had hepatitis B before, it can become active again. You will be tested for this before you start.
- PML. This is short for progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy. It is a rare but serious brain infection.
- Lower antibody levels. Over time, this can lower the antibodies that help you fight infection.
- Breast cancer. More cases of breast cancer showed up in people taking this medicine during studies than in people who were not.

I followed Dr. Parisa Khosravi from the UT since I had severe MS and she has been such a blessing from day one. She is the best MS specialist I know in Austin

Dr Peckham is so kind, knowledgeable and easy going. We are so grateful to have her as my husbands doctor as she answers all our questions, never rushed us and we always leave feeling confident in her recommendations.
Dr. Khosravi is an excellent addition to the staff at CNTC. She takes the time to explain things and welcomes questions. I feel as though she considers my long term heath as well as the issues I am currently experiencing. Her assistant Rochelle is stellar as well!
Breanna is amazing. She got me in almost immediately to see her once my test results came in from a referral, to explain them to me and start treatment. She spent a good hour listening to my concerns and addressing them, compassionately helping me answering the many questions I had about my complex health issues...I highly recommend Breanna to anyone who needs a movement disorder specialist. She and Dr. Peckham make an excellent team.
This was just my yearly check-up. PA Saini has a pleasant manner & asked all the right questions while providing me with an extension for my medications. A good visit!
Dr. Adam Horvit at Central Texas Neurology Consultants has been fantastic over the past year. He’s very thorough, takes a thoughtful and conservative approach, and always makes sure I understand everything. He’s great about answering all my questions at appointments, by phone, and is available through the patient portal. Highly recommend!
I am reviewing based on my experience with Dr. Elizabeth Peckham. She is a great movement disorder specialist. Very caring and understanding. She always listens to all my questions and answer them thoughtfully. Her assistants have always been helpful when I have called between appointments. I feel very confident in my husband’s care for his Parkinson’s disease and associated problems.
Dr. Peckham and her team are incredible. I’ve never needed any type of therapy before, but this team is amazing. I was given a form from my job that had to be turned in by ‘end-of-business day tomorrow or you won’t have benefits.’ Dr. Peckham worked on this paper between seeing her patients, so I could have it turned on time. I’ve never seen or heard of a doctor who would go out of her way to make sure I didn’t lose my benefits. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Dr. Elizabeth Peckham has been caring for my multiple illnesses for about 9 years. She and her MA, Cyndel, are compassionate, efficient and never stop until they found out what is wrong with me. Dr. Peckham and the doctors/facilities she has sent me to have found many answers/diagnoses to my painful and debilitating symptoms that are rapidly progressing. I don’t know how I would have made it through all that has happened to me without her.

Just had testing done for Carpal tunnel by Dr. Horvit. He was absolutely great! My aunt warned me that the test would be painful because of the needles but any pain I did feel was easily remedied by a most enjoyable visit with Dr. Horvit. I was talking to him while he did the test and he actually heard what I was saying because he listened and cared! He took interest in my and the test flew by... Thank you Dr. Horvit!

I have been a Multiple Sclerosis patient here for a little over a decade, and they have always taken care of me! Everyone is always so friendly. Whenever I need information about my treatments or care, my calls are always returned promptly. I’m always greeted with a smile. Everyone has always been helpful in the office with medical forms or questions. I live one town over, but I’m happy to drive here.
The nurses are amazing!! Been coming here for years and they have always treated me extremely professionally and with care. Love all of them!!!!
The infusion team is also terrific if you have treatments with them. They are constantly improving their in-house infusion center to ensure the comfort of their patients. The team there is professional and highly trained!
